Dr. Krishna Naineni, a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and on the training faculty at The Brighton and Sussex Medical School, in southeast England, reminds us in this conversation about the need for healthcare professionals to see patients as human beings, above all else. He adheres to the values of Hippocrates - the ancient Greek physician, traditionally regarded as the father of medicine - who taught, “It is more important to know the person who has the disease than the disease the person has.”
