One Veteran's Story: Reaching beyond the myth and nostalgia of World War II

Season #1

As much as we may have liked to ignore the effects of that war on soldiers, the signs could not be dismissed and, decades later, the hidden anguish can still remain.  Before it’s too late, we want to reach beyond the myth and nostalgia of World War II and shine a light on what Tim Madigan states - no matter the war, it means “death, disfigurement, and horrors no human heart is equipped to bear.”

For so many veterans, it was a real relief to learn about the realities of PTSD.  Far too many had felt isolated and crazy, and thought it was just them; they didn’t want to talk about it.   Support the show
