Transition FAQ

With the full support of the Board, we are excited to announce new leadership roles that position us for long-term impact and sustainability.  As we grow in fulfilling our mission, we are evolving to better align with how our team works best. This transition allows us to more fully honor each person’s unique gifts, passions, and areas of expertise.

• Michael Gingerich will transition into the role of Chief Values Officer, where he will focus on deepening our organizational culture, mentoring the team, and ensuring our mission and values remain front and center.
  
• Angie Dickinson will assume the role of Co-Chief Encouragement Officer (Co-CEO), focusing on strategic leadership, vision-setting, and operational oversight.
• Elizabeth Givler will take on the role of Chief Listening Officer, continuing Angie’s leadership of fostering meaningful connection through listening-focused programming and practices.
  

Angie has been part of the Someone To Tell It To team for five years, leading our programming with heart, creativity, and purpose. A lifelong educator, Angie brings her experience in curriculum design, organizational development, and team leadership to this new role. She has a unique ability to ask insightful questions, foster growth, and encourage others to flourish.

Angie lives in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, with her husband Matt and their three children. She is a graduate of a Central Pennsylvania leadership program (where she gave the 2024 commencement address) and has been nominated for several regional awards in leadership and curriculum innovation. Angie is also a certified yoga instructor and deeply values the connection between self-awareness and empathetic listening.

The Board and leadership team engaged in a thoughtful internal process rooted in discernment, collaboration, and alignment with our mission. Angie’s leadership, integrity, and vision made her the clear choice to step into this expanded role.

Our current strategic plan will remain in place. Decision-making will be shared among our executive team, with Tom Kaden (current Co-CEO) and Angie Dickinson taking point on organizational direction, with Michael Gingerich continuing to shape our values and culture. This model ensures both continuity and innovation.

We’re thrilled to announce that Elizabeth Givler will step into the role of Chief Listening Officer, building on the strong foundation Angie has established over the past five years. Elizabeth brings six years of experience with the organization, and is deeply committed to our mission, having demonstrated an exceptional ability to create safe, compassionate spaces for others to be heard.

As Chief Listening Officer, Elizabeth will oversee the development and delivery of our listening programs, training sessions, and outreach, ensuring that the heart of our mission—listening with intention and empathy—remains vibrant and impactful.

This transition positions us for greater impact, deeper alignment with our core values, and a stronger infrastructure to support our mission. Our commitment to human connection, listening, and compassion remains the heartbeat of all we do.

The transition will take place on May 22nd, 2025. Michael and Angie will continue to work closely together throughout the months ahead to ensure a smooth and intentional handoff.
